A L I C E C H E N GFounder and Chief Executive OfficerNamed by Corporate Knights' as a Canada's 30 Under 30 Sustainability Leader and one of sixteen Project Green Challenge Finalists for 2016, Alice is the proud Co-President of the Toronto Youth Environmental Council (TYEC) - a member of the Toronto Climate Action Network (TCAN).
Over the years, she has led the TYEC to host many successful workshops, conferences, and other initiatives across the GTA with themes such as eco-stewardship and fast fashion, in partnership with organizations such as Evergreen Brickworks. Alice has given deputations to City Council, advising the Parks, Recreation, and Environment Committee on Toronto's Climate Report Card, which received press coverage from Metro News. More recently, she has directed her efforts at spearheading youth involvement in her city's TransformTO campaign and starting the conversation among her peers in regards to the intersectionality of municipal politics, civic engagement, and environmentalism.
